While printing postage from Stamps.com, if you happen to encounter difficulties printing such as labels printing offset or printing blank, this may be due to a printer driver issue. One option to try in this case would be to install a new printer driver.

Step by Step
For Windows 7 or Windows Vista:
1. Make sure Stamps.com is closed.On your keyboard press both the Windows key and R key together.
2.In the window that opens, type in the words Control Printersand then clickOK. This will open the Devices and Printers window.
3.Right click on your printer and select Printer properties.
4.In the new window, make sure you are viewing the Ports tab, if not then click on Ports at the top. In the Ports tab, locate the name of the port that is currently checked. Write the name of this port on a piece of paper as we will need it later on. When you are done, close this window.
5. Back in the Devices and Printers window, click on Add a printer at the top of the window.
6.In the window that opens, click Add a local printer.
7.Check the button next to Use an existing port. Pull down the menu next to this option and select the name of the port you wrote down in Step 4. ClickNext.
8.Click on Windows Update.
Please be patient as this will take a few minutes.
9.Once the Windows Update is done, click on HPunder Manufacturer and click on HP DeskJet 990c under Printers. Although your printer may not be an HP printer, this driver generally works for a large number of printers. Click Next.
10.Give the printer a name. You can either leave the default or provide it a name you will recognize, such as Stamps.com printer. ClickNext.
11.On the next window, make sure Do not share this printer is checked. ClickNext.
12.Leave the Set as the default printeroption unchecked. Click Finish.
Open Stamps.com and try to print a sample label. Make sure that you click on Print Sample within Stamps.com and that you select the new printer driver we installed. It is recommended that you print a sample on to plain paper before printing on to an adhesive label.
If the sample prints fine, then you can continue to print your postage.
If nothing happens to print, you can repeat the above steps to install the HP DeskJet 600 (Monochrome)or contact Stamps.com Customer Support.
