The 4Mp DSC chip is a highly integrated SoC. It supports not only the high quality CCD image sensor but also the power saving CMOS image sensor. It has build-in Auto White Balance, Auto Focusing and Digital Zooming features. 3-in-1 image processing technology enables the camera to be a Video Camera, Digital Still Camera and PC Camera. Users may choose different resolutions to take photos. TFT LCD, TV video output, memory cards and USB interfaces are also supported.

The price-performance ratios of Sunplus' DSC chips are quite competitive compared with the competitors' solution. And there were significant cost down from key components of DSC such as image sensors, flash memory, optical lenses and color LCDs.
